Miccy’s began with a girl who couldn’t wear “ordinary” earrings and refused to settle for boring ones.
Founder and designer Michelle de Hoogh is allergic to most base metals, so as a teenager she started creating her own earrings using only real, high‑quality materials.

Years later, after art academy in Maastricht and a move between the Netherlands and Dubai, that hobby turned into something much bigger. Friends, and then friends-of-friends, kept asking for her designs. What started as a small selection of handmade earrings from a home studio grew into Miccy’s Jewelz, founded in 2012, with an online boutique and its first retail partners in the Netherlands.

Word spread quickly. Fashion boutiques and jewelry stores wanted the brand, followed by international stockists from Ibiza to Italy, Brazil, Belgium and the UAE. Today, Miccy’s earrings are sold worldwide and have been embraced by royals and style icons – something Michelle never dared to dream of when she was just making earrings at her kitchen table.

At Miccy’s, we design statement earrings that capture the beauty of everyday moments – the color of a market stall, a shell found on the beach, the pattern of old tiles in a hidden courtyard. We believe the things that move you make you who you are: unique.

  Our signature hooks are made of 18k gold on 925 silver, and we work with carefully sourced, premium materials like stingray, gemstones, Swarovski crystals, shell, velvet and freshwater pearls – always nickel‑free and designed for comfortable, long wear.

Michelle lives and works between Dubai, Belgium and the Netherlands and draws her inspiration from travel, art, food, nature and the many cultures she encounters. From Tuscan squares to Dubai souks and Dutch seaside light – it all finds its way into our collections.

Surrounded by a dedicated team in both countries, she still sketches every design herself and tests new pieces in real life before they ever reach the collection. Only what feels good, looks special and lasts beautifully earns its place as a Miccy’s earring.
